“`Clint began his movie career with a small role in the Ten Commandments. Actor Van Johnson saw the ruggedly handsome Walker and encouraged him to give the movies a try. This brought him to the attention of Warner Brothers, which was developing a television Western. The studio believed they dicovered a new on-screen hero in their stable of stars. During this time, Clint also had a modest singing career.
“`Walker had roles in The Night of the Grizzly, None But the Brave, The Dirty Dozen, The Great Bank Robbery, and the cinematic adaptation of Maverick. On television, Clint guest-starred on The Jack Benny Program, The Lucy Show, and The Love Boat.
“`In May 1971, he had nearly fatal skiing accident on Mammoth Mountain, but he recovered.
“`Clint Walker was 91.
