“`Mickey Mouse is turning ninety this year. ABC has announced Mickey’s 90th Spectacular, a two-hour prime-time special, will air on November 4th.
“`The program features tributes and never-before-seen shorts of Walt Disney Company’s global ambassador, who made his film debut in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928. The list of performers participating in the celebration will be released at a later date.
“`Don Mischer will produce and direct the televised gala, which is taking place at the Shrine Auditorium. Mischer notes that Walt Disney inspired him to pursue his work in television.
“`The beloved rodent is ready for his closeup.
